Originally from Pearl City, Hawaii, Cade Sugiyama is a junior interested in pursuing a career in corporate finance, most likely in FP&A or corporate development. In the future, Cade wants to start his own social enterprise and sees finance as a way to understand what story the numbers tell. Currently, he is a Social Impact Chair for 180 Degrees Consulting, a social-impact consulting organization, as well as a member of the Board of Directors for his high school’s alumni association. In previous years, he has interned at Emzingo U in social impact consulting, Ameriprise Financial in wealth advisory, and Thermo Fisher Scientific in FP&A. Through GEMS, Cade has gained a better understanding of opportunities in finance and accounting while also being mentored by an amazing business professional during his career exploration. In his free time, Cade loves exploring new cuisines, ridge hiking, watching soccer, and playing spikeball.
