Mike NoronaBoard Member and Retired Fortune 500 CFO
Mike was Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Advance Auto Parts from 2008 -2016 during which the company delivered significant growth and value creation. Prior to Advance, He spent almost 20 years with Best Buy during its hyper growth years, with the last role there being President – Financial Services. Mike has significant strategic, operational, and financial experience acquired through his almost 30 years in retail and multi-unit global businesses. He also has deep corporate governance experience through his management, board, and board committee roles, and is qualified to serve on audit committees as a financial expert. Mike spends his time today on his board responsibilities, mentoring executives and students, and on the family’s philanthropic interests. He is on the Board of Directors and Audit Committee Chair of Clarios, the world leader in automotive batteries. Mike is also an Audit Committee member, Director Emeritus and Global Mission Board member of the JDRF, and a former International Board of Directors Member. He is also on the Board of the University of North Carolina Kenan-Flagler Business School and the Board of Councilors for the USC Leventhal School of Accounting. Mike also serves on the Ravenscroft School Board of Trustees and is their Finance Committee Chair. His family’s philanthropic passions and areas of focus include finding a cure for Type 1 diabetes (through extensive involvement with the JDRF), advancing Wellness initiatives for students, and supporting business students and programs. Mike has been married to his wife Helen for 33 years, and they have two sons: Jordan, 24, is an Investment Banker in NY, and Dylan, 19, is a Sophomore at USC’s Marshall School of Business. The family enjoys traveling and Mike is an avid runner.
