Originally from Moorpark, California, Sophia is a rising junior pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with minors in Legal Studies and Cinematic Arts. Professionally, she is interested in law, consulting, and entertainment. This summer, she had the opportunity to explore one area of interest as a legal intern for Athlaw LLP, a sports law firm in Downtown Los Angeles. 

Sophia is a very active member of the USC community, being a part of many on-campus organizations. She has a passion for teaching and has served as a teacher’s assistant for elementary school students through the Joint Educational Project at USC. Additionally, through the USC Club WYSE (Women and Youth Supporting Each Other), Sophia has served as a mentor for middle school girls helping create a safe space for important topics such as mental health and body positivity. She is also an active member of her sorority, Alpha Chi Omega. In her free time, Sophia enjoys cooking, kickboxing, singing, photography, and traveling. 

Sophia is extremely excited to become a member of the GEMS family and for everything this year has in store! She is grateful for the opportunity to learn more about so many different career paths to guide her through her own career exploration process. Additionally, she cannot wait to meet the mentors and learn so much from their expertise!
